Helene Kreszenz Sedlmayr was a German beauty of the 19th century and immortalized in “Gallery of Beauties”. She was a daughter of shoemaker and at the age of fifteen she came to attention of Ludwig I of Bavaria while she was selling toys to his children. Ludwig I of Bavaria hired Joseph Karl Stieler to make a portrait of her for his Gallery of Beauties. She married the king’s valet Hermes Miller In 1831 and had 10 children.
