Nanette Kaula was one of the most beautiful women immortalized in Gallery of Beauty of a German king of Bavaria , Ludwig I of Bavaria. She was Jewish woman and the daughter of Court Agent Raphael Kaula. In 1838 she married a Hamburg banker who had a real estate licensed firm in Munich. She died in 1876 and she had no child. This portrait was finished in 1829 when she was 17 years old. In the portrait, she is wearing a simple purple and black velvet outfit that represents “the beautiful Jewess” and her hair is jeweled with the golden arrow and broach.
