Artist: The Italian Baroque master Caravaggio
The Incredulity of Saint Thomas is an oil painting finished between c. 1601-1602 by the Italian Baroque master Caravaggio. Today it is located in the Sanssouci of Potsdam, Germany. This painting is known to be most copied painting; it has been copied for 22 times in 17th century. The Incredulity of Saint Thomas was found in Prussian royal collection that survived the Second World War intact but The painting originally belonged to Vincenzo Giustinian.
In the painting, St John’s Gospel, Thomas (an account of the public ministry of Jesus) is surprised to experience the risen Christ guides him into the wounds by holding his hand.
